Dr. Monica Fornier is an Assistant Member at the Breast Cancer Medicine Service of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York. Dr. Fornier graduated summa cum laude from the University of Milan School of Medicine and received her post-doctoral training in oncology at the National Cancer Institute of Milan under the mentorship of Dr. Gianni Bonadonna. Monica completed a second fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center under the mentorship of Dr. Larry Norton. She is currently a member of the Faculty at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center where she conducts clinical research in breast cancer and is a prolific author of peer-reviewed articles, primarily on the treatment of breast cancer.

Within the past 12 months, Dr. Fornier has been on the Speakers Bureau of Bristol-Myers Squibb.

Dr. Robert G. Lerner, Cyberounds® Hematology/Oncology moderator, is board certified in both hematology and medical oncology. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of NYU and its medical school, Bob did his postgraduate training at Bellevue, Montefiore Hospital and USC. He is a recipient of an NIH Research Career Development Award and is Chief, Hematology, Westchester County Medical Center. Thromboembolic disease and the control of coagulation are Dr. Lerner's major areas of research interest.

Within the past 12 months, Dr. Lerner has received research/grant support from Sanofi-Aventis and Boehringer Ingelheim, been on the Speakers Bureau for Eisai, GlaxoSmithKline and Sanofi-Aventis, and is a major shareholder of Glycotek Inc.

Dr. Heather McArthur received her Bachelor of Science degree with honors in physiology from the University of British Columbia and her medical degree from the University of Toronto. Dr. McArthur completed her post-graduate medical training in internal medicine at the University of Calgary and her fellowship in medical oncology at the University of British Columbia. In addition, she is completing a Masters in Public Health at Harvard. The author of more than 20 recent articles and book chapters, Heather's clinical and research interest focuses on breast cancer adjuvant therapy and outcomes. Dr. McArthur was the 2007 recipient of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Foundation Merit Award and the recipient of a research and development grant from the Canadian Institutute for Health Research.

Hope S. Rugo, M.D. currently works in the UCSF Breast Cancer Center specializing in breast cancer and breast cancer clinical research. Her research interests include novel therapies for advanced breast cancer and supportive care. She is an investigator of the Bay Area Spore at UCSF breast cancer center and the principal investigator of a number of clinical trials.

She earned her undergraduate degree summa cum laude from Tufts University, received her M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and completed both a residency in internal medicine and fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of California San Francisco. Dr. Rugo completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in immunology at Stanford University.

Dr. Rugo has published many peer-reviewed papers and has given presentations on a variety of cancer-related topics.

Within the past 12 months, Dr. Rugo has been a consultant to Merck and received grant/research support from Bristol-Myers Squibb, Genentech, GSK, Novartis, Pfizer and Roche.

Susan Cobb Stewart, M.D., the Cyberounds® Women's Health moderator, graduated Smith College, received her medical degree from Cornell and is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. A past president of the American Medical Women's Association, Susan is co-editor of the encyclopedic Women's Complete Healthbook published in 1995. Dr. Stewart has participated in five AMWA Master Faculties in Women's Health: Tobacco, Coronary Heart Disease, Breast Cancer, Arthritis and Incontinence. She is, currently, the chair of AMWA's Women's Health Committee and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, New York Medical College.

Kiran Yalamanchili, M.D., received his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Surgery degree from Pondicherry University in India. Kiran completed his post-graduate medical training in internal medicine at Westchester Medical Center, N.Y., and is board certified in internal medicine. He plans on pursuing a career as a Hematologist Oncologist in New York.

Dr. Yalamanchili will discuss phase II clinical trials of vandetanib, cediranib, motesanib, dasatanib, busutinib, lonafarnib, axitinib, temsirolimus, tipifarnib, sorafenib. sunitinib and pazopanib in the treatment of taxane-resistant breast cancer.
